On this day, 8 October 1977: Krazy
Cover artwork: Mike Lacey
Happy First Birthday to Krazy! There’s plenty of Kake and Kelebration in this week’s issue, and the rare sight of Pongo Snodgrass having a wash to celebrate the occasion. Hindsight gives a hollow ring to the front cover message: ‘Krazy Comic depends on you, and we’d love to go on to be 2!!’ Krazy barely made it past 1½, being merged into Whizzer and Chips in April 1978. I doubt very much that the readers were to blame.
